Sugar esters Print

Sugar esters are highly specialised emulsifiers, that can be used in a wide variety of food applications. The sugar esters of Mitsubishi-Kagaku are sold under the Ryoto brand name. In Europe the sucrose esters with a high HLB value or in other words the molecules with a high hydrofilic charachter are specifically interesting.

They are manufactured via an esterification process using different types of fatty acids with sucrose
